Client Spotlight: Waymakers Orange County – Good Neighbor Shared Air Awareness Month
On April 11, 2023, the dedication and hard work of Waymakers Orange County’s team for smoke-free multi-family housing funding paid off with the passing of a proclamation in Garden Grove, CA to designate the month of April 2023 as “Good Neighbor Shared Air Awareness Month”. This proclamation serves as a public statement to acknowledge the issue of secondhand smoke and the need for smoke-free multi-family housing for the residents of Garden Grove. Good Neighbor Shared Air Awareness Month promotes awareness of the issue and of services to help residents quit smoking and encourage continuing smokers to refrain from smoking within any shared housing or public common areas. Waymakers’ team gathered community members of all ages to attend and speak at city council meetings as well as provide letters of support throughout March 2023 to propose and advocate for this proclamation. EVALCORP is honored to partner with Waymakers whose dedicated work is truly making a difference in our communities!
