This holiday season, EVALCORP was proud to continue our Service with Purpose tradition by giving back in meaningful ways to families and individuals in need across our communities. Through a combination of family adoption efforts and charitable giving, our team came together to help make the season brighter for those facing significant challenges.
Supporting Communities with Thanksgiving Meals
As part of this initiative, EVALCORP donated $1,150 to Foster Hope Sacramento, an organization dedicated to supporting youth and families impacted by the child welfare and juvenile legal systems. This contribution helped provide Thanksgiving meals for 16 impacted children and their loved ones, serving a total of 69 individuals. EVALCORP is honored to support Foster Hope Sacramento’s mission and to help ensure families could gather, share a meal, and experience comfort and connection during the holiday.
Donating Gifts to Families for the Holidays
In December, EVALCORP staff adopted two families in need through the support of two incredible nonprofit partners: El Nido Family Centers in Los Angeles and Waymakers in Orange County. These partnerships allowed our team to give back in a personal and impactful way within the communities where we live and work.
One of the families, identified through El Nido Family Centers, is currently living in Permanent Supportive Housing. This family of five includes three young children who don’t yet know they’ve been selected, making this holiday gesture an especially joyful surprise. Their greatest needs include clothing and hygiene essentials, along with a few small toys to bring extra smiles to the children this season. Our team was honored to help provide these essentials and contribute to a warm and memorable holiday for the entire family.

Gifts for the family we supported through El Nido Family Centers
The second family was selected by Waymakers and is also a family of five with three young children. Earlier this year, the father was the victim of a violent crime that temporarily prevented him from providing for his family, including his daughter, who uses a wheelchair. In line with Waymakers’ preference to empower families to purchase what they need most, EVALCORP staff contributed cash and gift card donations. The family also shared one special request: a gingerbread house they could decorate together, symbolizing togetherness, creativity, and hope during the holidays.
Thanks to the generosity of our team, EVALCORP staff collectively contributed $1,500 in cash and gifts to support these two families, in addition to our Thanksgiving donation to Foster Hope Sacramento. Together, these efforts reflect our deep commitment to giving back and supporting the communities we serve.
At EVALCORP, we believe that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. This holiday season, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve with purpose, spread compassion, and create moments of joy for families who need it most.
