Project & Development Associate

ROLE SUMMARY

The Project and Development Associate is a fulltime position with two primary functions:

  • Support the firm’s evaluation, needs assessment, and strategic planning projects.
  • Conduct business development tasks, including grant writing and proposal development in response to RFP/Qs.

EVALCORP is seeking an individual with at least 2 years of fulltime evaluation or applied research experience and grant writing/develop experience. Being proactive, organized, and able to balance multiple competing priorities effectively is essential. Integrity, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with others are “musts”. This role is hybrid – Some in office work, some remote work, and occasional travel to client sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Applied Research Support

  • Coordinate and schedule data collection activities with clients.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection activities.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Maintain project datasets, including entering, verifying, cleaning, and coding.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Assist in the development of reports, including writing, formatting, and data visualization.
  • Assist with client training activities.
  • Participate in client and team meetings and perform note taking during meetings.

Business Development

  • Research and identify new business opportunities via proposal/bid websites.
  • Assist with proposal (bid) development, including writing and editing.
  • Assist with CRM and support firm marketing and outreach activities.
  • Coordinate social media and print marketing efforts, including writing and editing materials and analyzing effectiveness.
  • Assist with website analytics and optimization.
  • Assist with special projects to improve marketing and new business opportunities.
  • Conduct administrative and other support activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in psychology, business, or an applied social science.
  • Two or more years of fulltime evaluation and/or applied research experience.
  • Two or more years of grant writing and proposal development experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), Canva, and SPSS or similar statistical software.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own transportation.

  • Focused on accuracy with strong attention to detail.

  • Actively listens and remembers key points from communication with others.
  • Follows instructions and appropriately takes initiative to identify challenges and potential solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, small business and respond flexibly to changing business needs.
  • Highly professional with a strong work ethic.
  • Preferred: Fluency in Spanish
  • Preferred: Prior experience working in a government agency or non-profit
  • Preferred: Subject matter expertise in criminal justice, public health, mental health, alcohol/other drug prevention, child welfare, and education (including 0-5, elementary, secondary)
