EVALCORP’S 3rd Service with Purpose: Giving Back Together

This fall, EVALCORP staff came together for our third Service with Purpose event—a day dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve. Team members from coast to coast gave back to their communities.

West Coast Impact: Orange County and Los Angeles

In Orange County, our team spent the morning at the OC Food Bank, where we rolled up our sleeves and got to work packing over 300 boxes of food to be distributed to older community members in need. It was a fun, high-energy experience that showcased what we do best—collaboration, teamwork, and purpose-driven impact.

Anthony did the heavy lifting, stacking the fully loaded boxes onto pallets.

In Los Angeles, Celina helped out the Anderson Munger YMCA by designing a survey tool to measure the surrounding community’s awareness of the services they provide, as well as gauging additional programmatic needs.

Beyond California, EVALCORP staff across the country found their own meaningful ways to serve.

East Coast Impact: New York

In Buffalo, NY, Emily donated blood to the American Red Cross at the WNY (Western New York) Chapter.

Mariana volunteered her time providing translation services to the North American Waste Pickers Alliance. Mariana translated all of their website content to Spanish, showcasing each Alliance member organization’s strategies, advocacy initiatives, and resources for partners.

Southern Impact: Western North Carolina

In the south, Valerie participated in a Citizen Scientist Bio-Blitz along the Blue Ridge Parkway to help scientists collect data to measure ecological recovery following Hurricane Helene. This volunteer event commemorated both the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene and National Public Lands Day.

We’re so grateful to everyone who volunteered their time, skills, and energy to make a difference at this fall’s Service with Purpose event. Their enthusiasm and generosity reflect the heart of EVALCORP’s culture—one rooted in community, compassion, and action.

Service with Purpose reminds us that even small actions, when shared, can make a big difference every day.
