EVALCORP has been a long-term partner of Waymakers of Orange County and has continually evaluated their education and prevention programs including their Impaired Driving program which after ten years, will sunset June 30, 2021. Historically this program has worked to educate both the public and retail/restaurant establishment owners, managers, and employees about responsible alcoholic beverage consumption and service and safe alternatives to driving impaired.
For the past two years, Waymakers has worked in Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, and Orange, partnering with local key stakeholders including police departments and community members, to prevent impaired driving in each respective city. The team implemented their “Be Safe. Plan Ahead.” Campaign which could be viewed on billboards and at bus shelters across each city and inside establishments they partnered with on posters, coasters, and napkins.
We celebrate the work this team of young public health workers accomplished to make our community safer. Thank you Michelle Heintz, Brian Cabrera, Sydney Hermann, Yohanna Sahle, Kaelin Salazar, and Clarissa Urrutia!
