Ventura County MHSA Prevention and Early Intervention Evaluation Report

Waymakers Family Violence Prevention Campaign Evaluation

EVALCORP has been contracted to provide evaluation services to Waymakers as they develop and implement a community-informed statewide campaign to prevent family violence through a two-year grant from Cal OES (i.e., California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services). The primary objective of the campaign was to increase protective factors among youth and young adults to encourage healthy relationships and positive communication strategies and to prevent family violence. EVALCORP executed all measurement activities including the development of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, data collection, analysis, reporting, and technical assistance. Below is the final evaluation report.

Kaiser Permanente 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment
Needs Assessment In Action
EVALCORP has been contracted to conduct Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) within four medical service areas in the Southern California region (Kern County, Orange County, and parts of Ventura and Los Angeles County). To inform the CHNAs, EVALCORP staff facilitated over 60 key stakeholder interviews, 25 focus groups with community members, and disseminated ten community surveys. Across all data collection initiatives, EVALCORP has engaged with more than 2,700 individuals, primarily from underserved subpopulations/geographic areas within the four regions. Below is the Community Health Needs Assessment report for Kern County.
Desert Healthcare District Mental & Behavioral Health Needs Assessment

As part of its three-year strategic planning process, the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation (DHCD) has partnered with EVALCORP to conduct a comprehensive, community-level assessment of behavioral and mental health needs in the Coachella Valley. This six-month assessment began in April 2019 and concluded in October 2019.

Kings County Behavioral Health Mental Health Services Act Annual Update & Three-Year Program and Expenditure Plan

EVALCORP has been contracted to assist with the development of the MHSA Three-year Program and Expenditure Plan for fiscal years 2020-2023 and the fiscal year 2018-2019 Annual Update. To inform program funding for the next three years, we designed and facilitated a Community Needs Assessment to understand and prioritize community mental and behavioral health needs.
Imperial County Library System Needs Assessment

EVALCORP has been contracted in 2018 to provide a countywide needs assessment of the Imperial County Library System for ensuring greater access to all county residents for public library services. As part of the Needs Assessment, library usage information was analyzed to inform funding priorities and recommendations for service enhancement.
